E-mail use has declined 59 percent for those ages 12-17, 1 percent for the 18-24 age group, 18 percent for those 25-34, 8 percent for people between 35-44 and 12 percent for the 45-54 age bracket. Across the board, e-mail use declined by 8 percent.
Stealing the limelight are social media networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter, which are reportedly nearing 600 million and 200 million users, respectively.
